A Planet Like Ours
There may be hundreds of billions of planets in the universe, but there is only one planet like ours.
From the soil where crops for food are grown to the atmosphere that provides the air we breathe, we rely on planet Earth to nourish us, protect us, and provide us with a place to live. But just as much as we rely on Earth, our planet relies on us for safekeeping.
Authors Frank Murphy and Charnaie Gordon remind young readers of the many ways life on Earth is interconnected and how we all rely on these critical resources—our air, our water, our soil. Colorful visuals offer suggestions on how everyone can be a good steward of our home.
This fifth entry in the Like You series helps young readers understand how much we need to protect our planet and the importance of safeguarding its health.
