• Author: Friend of Freadom, Frank Murphy – A graduate of Rutgers University, Frank is currently a second grade teacher in the Council Rock School District in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Frank lives in Holland, Pennsylvania, and has two sons, Griffin and Chase.

• Author: Carla Murphy – Carla Murphy is a pediatric nurse who has been helping kids get better and feel healthier for more than 15 years. A Girl Like You is her first picture book! She loves popcorn, puppies, and exploring new places, and believes that all kids are unstoppable, especially girls. She was born in Brooklyn, but now lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, Frank; her daughter, Haley; and their dogs, Jumper and Cali.

• Illustrator: Friend of Freadom, Kayla Harren – Kayla Harren is the author and illustrator of Mary Had a Little Lizard, and the illustrator of a number of other projects, including Hannah's Tall Order and The Boy Who Grew a Forest: The True Story of Jadav Payeng. She lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
