We are big fans of our friends and here is where we will shine the spotlight on one of our Friends of Freadom. Now, in the spotlight, meet:

FRIEND OF FREADOM, MOLLY NESS,
CO-FOUNDER OF THE NEW COALITION FOR LITERACY EQUITY

Molly Ness, self-avowed book nerd, former classroom teacher, teacher educator, university professor, author, podcaster, and now coalition builder to bring an end to literacy inequity. For nearly 20 years Molly has tirelessly championed book access and building reading culture. To highlight literacy innovators across the country Molly launched her podcast, End Book Deserts, in 2019. 2021 saw Dr. Ness organizing and hosting a two-day End Book Deserts virtual conference all about book access with speakers, literacy experts, advocates and innovators from all over the United States engaged in expanding book access and reading culture into places where there is little to none.

This year Molly is involved in founding a national Coalition for Literacy Equity. Watch the video to see and hear about this bold and exciting initiative to create a national network harnessing the collective energy and expertise to end the literacy crisis in America.

We are grateful and privileged to have Molly as a friend and ambassador. Check out her websites and podcasts with the links below.
